Driven by impact.
Rooted in experience.
Why we started this work
We bring decades of experience across nonprofits, consulting, and the technology companies that serve them. We have seen how often organizations invest real effort in strategy and change without getting the results they need. That is why we built The Eakin Collaborative: to offer honest, senior-level guidance that helps nonprofits turn strategy into action.
Unbiased. Experienced. Mission-driven.

Emily has spent eighteen years in the nonprofit sector, including serving as Vice President of Operations and Technology for a top 100 national charity and a decade leading consulting teams focused exclusively on nonprofit organizations.
She's led large-scale operational transformations, technology implementations, and organizational change initiatives. She knows what it takes to move a nonprofit forward because she's done it from the inside: managing the systems, leading the teams, and navigating the constraints that come with mission-driven work.
At The Eakin Collaborative, Emily brings that experience to every engagement. She leads assessments, works directly with staff and leadership, and helps organizations understand where they stand, what is getting in the way, and what to do next.
Emily lives with her family in Western Massachusetts, where she loves hiking with friends, playing golf, and enjoying the outdoors.

Kelly has spent over two decades in strategy consulting, working with more than 150 organizations across the nonprofit, education, and corporate sectors. He's guided complex technology decisions, led organizational assessments, and helped leadership teams align around what matters most.
Before co-founding The Eakin Collaborative, Kelly held senior consulting roles where he helped shape more than $1 billion in technology investment decisions. That experience taught him what works, what doesn't, and how to help organizations avoid the mistakes that derail even the best-intentioned strategies.
At The Eakin Collaborative, Kelly focuses on assessment design, strategic analysis, and helping clients translate findings into practical, prioritized action. He's driven by a simple belief: nonprofits deserve the same caliber of strategic guidance that the largest corporations receive, at a price that respects how they operate.
Kelly lives in Portland, Oregon, where he enjoys yoga, exploring great vegan restaurants, and hiking with friends (and his dog Nena!).
